JEE Main Phase 2 Exam 2022

The National Testing Agency has commenced the registration process of JEE Main 2022 Phase 2 exam from June 1, 2022, on its official website. The last date to apply was July 12, 2022. JEE Main 2022 Phase 2exam is being conducted from July 25, 2022, to July 30, 2022. This year, students have the flexibility to appear for JEE Main two times. Candidates appearing for Phase 1 can also re-appear in the second phase of the examination. Apart from this, the applicants will have the option to apply for the exam in any of the 13 languages specified by NTA. All the details pertaining to JEE Main Phase 2 exam can be checked below.

JEE Main 2022 Phase 2 Application Form

The JEE Main 2022 application form session 2 will be available on the NTA website soon. From jeemain.nta.nic.in 2022, applicants may finish the NTA JEE Main 2022 registration. Here the candidates will be provided with the direct URL to fill out the application form of  JEE Main. The application deadline for JEE Main 2022 session 2 was July 12, 2022. The NTA JEE Main 2022 test session 1 application deadline was April 25. Candidates who have already applied and paid the fee for Phase 2 while filling out the application form for Phase 1 need not register again. Fresh candidates will be allowed to fill out the application form for Phase 2. The application portal was open for a short duration to accommodate JEE Main 2022 Phase 2 registrations. The registration process is as follows –

Step 1

Visit the official website – www.jeemain.nta.nic.in and click on the application form link on the homepage.

Step 2

Click on ‘New Registration’. Read the instructions carefully and click on ‘Proceed’

Step 3

Fill in all the personal details such as Name, Date of Birth, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Gender, Category, Exam Centre Preference (can choose 4 cities) and Education details.

Step 4

Upload the scanned image of the Photograph and Signature.

Step 5

Pay the application fee by using a credit or debit card or an internet banking facility.

Step 6

Take the printout of the application form confirmation page.

Note: Candidates applying for multiple sessions must note that a separate exam fee has to be paid for each session.

JEE Main 2022 Phase 2 Exam Pattern

JEE Main 2022 exam pattern is similar across all phases. The Paper 1 exam will have a total number of 90 questions, and the test-takers will have to answer 75 questions. NTA is expected to release JEE Main Phase 2 result within 5 days after the exam. Candidates who have cleared/ not cleared Phase 2 will have to wait until next year or take admission in the private B.Tech colleges of India based on their obtained marks. In order to access the result, the candidates will have to enter the Application Number & Password.

Phase 2 of JEE Main 2022: New Changes

In JEE Main 2022 phase 2, NTA has introduced several changes. Candidates can find more information about the changes in the section below.

  • The 75 percent eligibility criterion has been eliminated from the NTA's eligibility standards. For JEE Main entrance, students simply need their 12th passing certificate, regardless of their result. 
  • Changed the marking scheme: There was no negative marking for numerical type questions the previous year. This year, however, the NTA has introduced negative marking for this section.
  • Increase in JEE Main Exam Centers: The number of JEE Main 2022 exam centres has been increased to 501 in India and 13 in other countries.
  • JEE Main Score Card to be sent to registered mobile number: The JEE Main 2022 result will be sent in pdf format to the applicants' registered mobile numbers. 
  • No Form Correction Facility: Check JEE Main 2022 Result Candidates are urged to fill out the JEE Main 2022 application form carefully because no form correction will be available after the application has been submitted this year.
  • JEE Main will be held in 13 languages: Bengali, Hindi, English, Assamese, Gujarati, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Marathi are among them.
