J&K Govt Forms Advisory Panel to Draft Policies for Selection of Candidates to Professional Courses

An Advisory Panel has been established by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, which will look into drafting policies for better, smooth and transparent functioning of the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination along with drafting policies for better admission processes.

In a bid to improve the selection of aspirants for admission to various professional courses, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir have decided to establish an advisory panel. The committee has been formed to draft different policies for the purpose of admission to the professional courses.

An order had been issued by the General Administration Department stated that the position of convenor will be handed over to the Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations.

As per an official spokesperson, the duty of the advisory committee will be to draft policies that will facilitate a much smoother and transparent working of the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations. The committee will ensure that the entrance tests conducted by the board are done on time and in an efficient manner.

The official also stated that the committee will also propose measures or systems in order to maintain proper records of the entrance tests that have been conducted by the Board. They will also be authorizing the different plans which will be submitted by the Board in order to come to a better conclusion to the admission processes.

As per the order issued for the matter, the committee is aimed at approving the contingency proposals to strengthen the current infrastructure. They will also be approving the proposals for the “consideration of the government”. An annual report will be prepared by the board, which will further be approved by the Advisory Committee as well.
