Minister of Higher & Technical Education of Maharashtra - Uday Samant announced that the decision on higher education professional courses CETs for the academic session 2021-22 will be taken soon. As the Class 12 (HSC) exams 2021 in Maharashtra have been cancelled for the year 2021, the state government is planning to hold an entrance exam for B.A, B.Sc and B.Com admissions. The government has instructed the department to figure out the modalities of entrance exam for non-professional courses.
The professional courses CETs include MHT CET, MAH B.Ed CET, MAH MCA CET, MAH B.P.Ed CET, MAH MBA CET, MAH M.Arch CET, MAH LLB CET etc. Usually, the entrance exam for these courses is conducted in April/ May every year. However, the entrance exam process for the year 2021 has been delayed due to the second waved Covid-19 pandemic. Last year too, these entrance exams were conducted in September-October.
With Class 12 (HSC) exams 2021 in Maharashtra are cancelled, it is important to conduct an entrance exam for non-professional courses as well so that the merit of the candidates shall be determined appropriately.
Uday Samant further announced that the HSC results 2021 of Maharashtra will be announced as early as possible, and a decision on CET 2021 dates will be taken accordingly.
Candidates are advised to wait for few more days to have clarity on entrance exam dates for the year 2021.
