UT Directorate of Higher Education, Punjab University has decided not to conduct any more counselling rounds for the remaining 540 vacant seats for the course like BCA and B.Sc (medical and non-medical streams).
Till now, five counselling rounds have been conducted by PU for admission to eleven affiliated colleges to Panjab University. The highest number of seats that are lying vacant are in the B.Sc (non-medical) programme with a total of 229 seats left unfilled out of the 1,320 seats. This is followed by B.Sc (medical) in which 173 seats are vacant out of 830 on offer.

According to the reports, B.Com and BBA programmes were popular among students as a result of which all the seats were occupied in the last round i.e. on 3rd August. The cut-offs for the fifth round of counselling for admission to B.Com remained the same as 101.6 for UT Pool in GGDSDC College and 105.6 for colleges outside UT pool.

The highest cut-off for the BBA programme was 89.2 for outside UT pool and 75.2 UT pool in GGDSD college. The highest cut-offs for BCA, B.Sc (Medical) and B.Sc (Non-Medical) was 81.6, 71.2 and 87.8 in PGGC College for outside UT pool. In the UT pool, the highest cut-offs recorded for BCA, BSc (medical) and BSc (non-medical) were 70.4 in PGGC-11; 59.6 in MCM DAV College, Sector 36 ; and 59.6 in PGGC-11, respectively.
