Government Issues Rankings of Karnataka State Universities

Karnataka State Higher Secondary Council and the Department of Higher Education issue Karnataka State Universities rankings. The rankings are divided into four categories - New University, Young University, Established University, Specialist University.

Karnataka State University Rankings Released

Karnataka State Higher Secondary Council and the Department of Higher Education have released Karnataka State Universities rankings on 17 September 2019. Manipal Academy Higher Education has been ranked number 1 among all the established universities under Karnataka State Universities Rating Framework 2019.

However, JSS University has been ranked number 1 in the category of Young Universities while PES University also secured the first position under the New Universities category. University of Agricultural Sciences (Dharwad) also secured the first position under the Specialist Universities category.

The categories in which the universities are divided are as follows-

  • New University (0-5 Years)
  • Specialist University
  • Young University (5-10 Years)
  • Established University (above 10 years)
