It operates 170 private, 85 government and 44 subsidised polytechnic colleges apart form 13 government and 9 subsidised engineering colleges. Karnataka Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria 2020
The eligibility criteria for Karnataka Polytechnic Admission 2020 are listed below. In order to pursue polytechnic in Karnataka, candidates will have to meet the following entry criteria. Upon failing to meet the entry requirements for Karnataka Polytechnic 2020, candidates will not be allowed to apply for the programmes.
The candidate should qualify as an Indian citizen.
The aspirant should either have passed the Karnataka Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) or an equivalent examination with at least 35 per cent marks.
The applicant should have studied in Karnataka from grade 1 for a minimum of 5 years from SSLC or PUC board.
As of now, there is no age limit for Karnataka Polytechnic admission 2020.
The eligibility criteria for a non-engineering diploma course in Karnataka is quite similar to the criteria mentioned above.
For diploma in Modern Office Management, Fabrication and Apparel Design Technology and Commercial Practice, candidates are required to complete SSLC examination or equivalent in Karnataka with at least 35 per cent marks.
For Library Science and Information Management, candidates should have scored at least 35 per cent marks aggregate in the secondary PUC examination or equivalent in Karnataka.

NOTE: Candidates will be notified about the merit list via SMS at the registered mobile numbers. So, it is important that candidates provide a number (while filling the application form) that they use regularly.
Karnataka Polytechnic Counselling Process 2020
The counselling process for Karnataka Polytechnic admissions 2020 will begin after the merit list for 2020 admissions is released. In the year 2019, the counselling process was conducted in an online mode.
Candidates who will make it to the merit list will be called for the Karnataka Polytechnic counselling process 2020.
Candidates will be intimated about the day and timing of the process.
