The Gauhati University Institute of Science and Technology had been established in Gauhati University campus in the year 2009 to enhance the quality and innovation in science and technology education in the North Eastern Region. The Institute creates a state-of-art environment for systematic and in-depth study of engineering at undergraduate and post-graduate levels. There are frequent seminars and workshops occuring in the college and also a good GDSC(google developer student club) managed by the seniors.
