IIIT Guwahati - Admission 2025, Fees, Courses, Placement, Ranking

IIIT Guwahati has started engineering admissions for the academic year 2025. Candidates can check their results on jeemainsession2.ntaonline.in. IIIT Guwahati admission 2025 for BTech is based on JEE Main scores and will be followed by a counselling process conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). BTech admissions take place through JEE Mains score followed by JoSAA counselling while MTech admission are based on GATE examination followed by CCMT counselling. GATE admissions for this year have been closed, registrations will resume for next year by August, 2025. JoSAA counselling is being conducted, candidates can check the official website for their allotment. 

Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati is one of the 20 institutes of National Importance that was set up by the government of India. IIIT Guwahati was founded in the year 2013. It has recently moved to its new campus in Guwahati, 4 km away from the Guwahati airport. The IIIT Guwahati offers students with graduate and postgraduate degrees, i.e. B.Tech and M.Tech only. Other than these, IIIT Guwahati also provides the option of choosing a research programme, i.e. PhD programme. There are four different academic departments at the IIIT Guwahati which are taught across all the various courses offered at IIIT Guwahati. Admissions take place through national level exams like JEE Mains, GATE, JAM, etc.

IIIT Guwahati was ranked in the band gap of 151-200 by NIRF 2024. The highest package offered to students at IIIT Guwahati for the year 2024-25 was 52 LPA while the average package was 15 LPA. Top companies like Google, Microsoft, Infosys visit the campus for placement.
