AICTE Releases Revised B.Tech Admission Dates 2021: First-Year Classes to Begin by November 15

AICTE has released the academic calendar for B.Tech admission 2021. Engineering colleges can commence the classes for first-year B.Tech students by November 15.

AICTE Releases B.Tech Admission Dates 2021

AICTE has released the academic calendar for B.Tech admission 2021, and the classes for first-year students are set to begin from November 15. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has directed all the technical institutes (engineering colleges) to complete the admission process before the aforementioned date, and begin the classes for first-year students. On the other hand, the classes for 2nd, 3rd & 4th-year B.Tech students should commence by October 01, stated by AICTE in its academic calendar. All the institutes will have to wrap up the 1st round of admissions/ counselling by October. The detailed admission dates for B.Tech admission 2021 can be checked below.

The B.Tech admission dates released by AICTE for the academic session 2021-22 are as follows –



Last date for the grant of approval to technical institutes by AICTE

July 15, 2021

Last date for the grant of affiliation by universities/ boards

August 10, 2021

Last date to complete first-round counselling & seat allotment

September 30, 2021

Last date to complete second round counselling & seat allotment

October 10, 2021

Last date to cancel admission with full fee refund

October 15, 2021

Last date to complete the admission process for first-year students

October 20, 2021

Last date to begin the academic session for first-year students

November 15, 2021

Last date for B.Tech Lateral Entry admission

October 30, 2021

With the Covid-19 second wave is at peaks in India, the above academic calendar released by AICTE welcomed mixed reaction from parents and experts. The 3rd and 4th phase JEE Main 2021 exam dates have been released by NTA and it is expected that things will go ahead as per the latest AICTE academic calendar.

Deemed universities have already initiated the process of conducting the entrance exam/ admission process for B.Tech admission 2021. Universities such as Amrita University, VIT University, SRM University etc have already released the application forms for B.Tech admission 2021-22. Private universities are expected to begin classes after August 31.

After the KCET seat allotment, it is mandatory for all the students to visit the allotted institute for admission and seat confirmation. In case any candidate fails to visit the campus for admission or to confirm their seats, then his/ her seat is canceled.

Dear Student,

Yes, B.Tech lateral entry is available at Siddhartha Institute of Technology & Science for which the admission is done on the basis of merit obtained in the qualifying exam. The candidates who have completed their degree in Diploma in Engineering course will be eligible for B.Tech lateral entry admission. Through lateral entry, the B.Tech will be for a total of 3 years duration.

For ICAR AIEEA, if you have a score above 200, you can easily get a good college. Your score is excellent with which you can get some of the top institutes for the admission. However, it also depends on the category you belong to(General/ OBC/ SC/ ST).
