What is B.Tech Management Quota Admission?

Engineering colleges in India have been divided into government and private colleges (including deemed universities). Every state conducts its own entrance exam or counselling process for B.Tech admission. The engineering seats in every private college in different states are divided into state quota and management quota. While the state government fills the seats for state quota, private colleges can fill the seats that fall under management quota. Only a limited percentage of seats will be available under management quota.

B.Tech Management Quota Admission Dates 2020

Private engineering colleges will start the admission process for management quota seats as and when the state quota counselling begins in the respective state. For the year 2020, the management quota admission in B.Tech courses will take place in August, September and October 2020.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech Management Quota Admission 2020

Private engineering colleges in various states follow the eligibility criteria specified by the state government & AICTE for B.Tech management quota admission. The eligibility rules for the management quota admission are as follows –

Eligibility Rule 1

The candidates must have passed Class 12th with a minimum of 45% to 50% of marks.

Eligibility Rule 2

Candidates who are waiting for Supplementary results of Class 12th can also apply for admission. However, the admission will be granted only after the candidates submit Class 12th pass certificate.

Eligibility Rule 3

The candidates must have all the documents specified by the college to get admission in B.Tech.

Eligibility Rule 4

Students from different states can apply for B..Tech management quota admission in any state across the country.

Application Form for B.Tech Management Quota Admission 2020

Candidates aspiring for management quota admission in B.Tech will have to either fill the online application form through the official website of the college or directly visit the college for obtaining application form. The candidates will have to obtain prospects and application form by paying the prescribed application fee. It is mandatory to affix the photograph on the application form. After filling the form, the candidates will have to submit it at the designated counter in the college with all required documents.

B.Tech Management Quota Admission Process 2020

Private colleges follow different rules to select candidates for admission in management quota. Some colleges grant admission on the first-come-first-serve basis, while some colleges release a separate merit list to shortlist the candidates. If the competition is high for management quota admission, the colleges will come up with a merit list option. The admission process under management quota is simple and hassle-free as admission will be confirmed after the submission of application form and verification of documents.

B.Tech Management Quota Admission Fee 2020

The Fee Fixation Committee or state government shall fix the fee for B.Tech management quota admission. The fee for management quota will be 1 to 2times higher than the state quota fee. The average fee for B.Tech management quota ranges between Rs. 60,000 to 80,000 per annum, while the highest fee may go up to Rs. 1,00,000 to Rs. 1,50,000 per annum.
