HackerRank, a Technical Hiring platform, has released a list wherein the names of the Top Universities in Asia-Pacific have been mentioned. Among the Institutes, IIT Guwahati, Vellore Institute of Technology and IIT Kanpur have been awarded the top ranks in the four major components of the research.
A hiring platform for people from the technical backgrounds, HackerRank, has released a list of “Top Universities in Asia-Pacific”, where IIT Guwahati, Vellore Institute of Technology and IIT Kharagpur have been awarded the top ranks in different categories. The company had ranked the institutes based on the various factors that different employers look for in a prospective candidate. The ranking had been done for four different regions, including Asia-Pacific, North America, the Middle East and Europe.
Among the institute that had been listed down, various Indian Institutes of Technology such as IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras and IIT Bombay had been included. Along with these IITs Banaras Hindu University, as well as Vellore Institute of Technology, has also been mentioned in the list. Sources state that HackerRank laid down four major components, i.e. Problem Solving, Language Proficiency, Data Structures Knowledge and Computer Science Fundamentals.

Various leading news agencies have stated that the HackerRank conducted a research, which spanned over three years, i.e. 2017-2019. They further added that the research had been based on more than 1.4 assessments which had been completed by students. They also stated that the research is different from the other ranking lists that are released by analysing the Universities on factors such as research, teaching, industry outlook and/or international outlook, etc, to award the institutes with their ranks.
With such ranks being in favour of such Universities and Institutes, it can be assumed that the varsities may receive international applications. This will also ensure a better relationship with other countries. With Indian Institutes and Universities bagging various World Ranks, the standards of education that will be offered at the varsity will be at par with World-Renowned Universities, thus producing graduates with a better resume at the end.
