GATE 2022 Civil Engineering (CE-2) Shift 2 Question Paper Analysis, Answer Key

The second shift of the GATE 2022 Civil Engineering examination (GATE 2022 CE-2) was held across the country by IIT Kharagpur. IIT Kharagpur has released the post-exam schedule on its official website. As per the latest schedule, the GATE 2022 response sheet pdf will be available for download from 15th February. The GATE 2022 answer key will be released on 21st February followed by the result for GATE 2022 on 17th March.

Some major highlights of the GATE 2022 Civil Engineering (shift 2) paper as per the candidates' feedback are as follows - 

• Most of the students reported that the second shift of the GATE 2022 civil engineering paper was moderate to tough
• Students said that the GATE 2022 CE (afternoon shift) paper was easy compared to the morning session paper
• Students said there were many questions of environment Geotech and highway in the GATE 2022 (CE-2) question paper
• A few questions in the paper were deemed unpredictable by the students
• The GATE 2022 CE-2 paper had a total of 7 MSQ-type questions
• The paper had 34 MCQs and 24 NATs in the second shift GATE 2022 CE paper
• Topics such as Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical and Transportation Engineering had the maximum weightage
• The General Aptitude and Mathematics section questions were moderately difficult
• A single question from Structural Dynamics was asked
