With the second wave Covid-19 pandemic turning out to be a health emergency in India, the Ministry of Education postponed JEE Main April & May 2021 exams that are scheduled to be conducted from April 27 to 30 and May 24 to 28. While Phase 1 & 2 were conducted in February and March, there will be a big delay with regard to the Phase 3 & 4 exams. As most of the states, CBSE & CISCE postponed Class 12 exams, this will clearly have an impact on JEE Main 2021. The April and May exams are expected to be delayed till August/ September, as most of the board exams may happen in July. It is highly unlikely that board exams will happen in June.
If state governments/ central government take the decision to cancel Class 12 board exams in June, then JEE Main April/ May 2021 can be conducted in July & August. However, cancelling Class 12 exams will be the last option for the government. This decision may be taken only if the second wave Covid-19 pandemic becomes disastrous in the upcoming months. Students are advised to continue with the exam preparation.

Will JEE Main April/ May 2021 be Cancelled?
In all probability, cancelling JEE Main April/ May 2021 will not be possible, and the government will conduct the exam under any circumstances if it the process delays till September. If conducting JEE Main 2021 will not be possible in September due to third-wave Covid-19, then the government will find an alternative measure. However, it’s just a mere assumption, and not final.
JEE Advanced 2021 scheduled on July 03 will be postponed due to the deferment of JEE Main April & May 2021 exam. An official update on the same can be expected soon.
