Will NTA cancel JEE Main April 2021 Exam? Will May 2021 exam be the final attempt? Know answers for these questions here.

Will NTA Cancel JEE Main April 2021 & Consider May 2021 Exam as Final?

JEE Main April 2021, which was scheduled to be conducted from April 27 to 30, has been postponed due to the surge in Covid-19 cases across the country. On the other hand, Class 12th board exams in different states have been postponed, and there is no clarity on the new exam dates. While NTA planned to conduct JEE Main 2021 four times, February & March exams were successfully conducted without any delay. However, there is a lot of uncertainty on JEE Main April & May 2021 exam due to the surge in Covid-19 cases and postponement of Class 12th exams.

There were speculations that JEE Main April 2021 is likely to be cancelled, and NTA may consider May 2021 exam as the final for this year. Students must note that this is mere speculation, and there is no official information with regard to the same. NTA will assess the situation in June, and take a decision on April & May 2021 exam. As of now, JEE Main May 2021 has been postponed. The application form for JEE Main May 2021 has also been delayed.

NTA will not take such a decision where one valuable attempt of candidates for JEE Main get wasted. The government will try its best to hold April & May 2021 exam as and when the situations turn conducive/ normal. However, a decision to cancel either of the sessions will be taken only if the situation turns worse in mid-May and June. Official information regarding the same shall be communicated to all applicants by NTA.

Meanwhile, students are advised to not believe any rumours pertaining to the cancellation of the April 2021 exam. It is advisable to use this time to prepare for the entrance exam and board exams effectively.
