Savitribai Phule Pune University encouraged by the changing situation in J&K after the nullification of Article 370, is planning to establish an educational center in the valley of Kashmir. On August 23, 2019, Friday a proposal regarding the same effect was approved by the administration department of the University.
Savitribai Phule Pune University said in a press release that the proposal will be sent to the State Government of Maharashtra in order to seek its permission to open the new educational center.
Vice-Chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune said that in the meeting of administration of Savitribai Phule Pune University Rajesh Pandey, a member proposed that the University should set up an educational center in Kashmir due to the changing situation and the permission need to be taken from the state government. He also added that all the members of the administration approve this proposal.
Savitribai Phule Pune University also known as SPPU. It offers many undergraduate and postgraduate course in different fields. SPPU is taking many steps to update and make the quality of education they provide better with each passing year. It will be the first Indian University where blended course academy will be set up by Melbourne University. Also, SPPU is working to cater knowledge in every possible way such as it also introduced online courses on SWAYAM platform.
After the government scrapped Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, many universities and higher education institutes are coming up with the centres in J&K. The scrapping out of the article resulted in a boost in the higher education opportunities in Kashmir along with more Job opportunities. Many educational institutions of other parts of India is gradually planning to set up campuses in Kashmir from which the students will benefit the most and they on not have to move out of the state for higher education and jobs.
