The Application Portal for Joint Admission Test for Masters Programme, popularly known as IIT JAM has been reopened for the students applying from Jammu and Kashmir. Seeing the unrest in the valley, the authorities have decided to open the application window of IIT JAM till 28th November 2019. The window is open from Friday, 22nd November 2019 now.
The Indian Institute of Technology - IIT Kanpur in a statement said that keeping in mind the communication issues in Kashmir, the application portal are reopened for the left-out Jammu & Kashmir Students to give them another chance for IIT JAM 2020 Registration. The candidate interested in availing the facility must fill the form online by visiting jam.iitk.ac.in.
The date of the examination is 9th February 2020 and the results will be released in March 2020.
The IIT JAM exam 2020 will be conducted for filling the seats of Master of Science (MS) course specialisations in Mathematical Statistics, Biotechnology and Physics in IITs. The examination will be conducted in two sessions. The first session of the examination will start from 9:30 am for 3 hours and the second half of the examination will start from 2:30 for the same duration of 3 hours. Various IITs conduct IIT JAM examination each year, this year, the IIT JAM Examination is being conducted by IIT Kanpur.
This year, an exam pattern change has taken place for the IIT JAM examination. It will be conducted on 6 subjects and the paper of Biological Science has been discontinued.
