NEET 2021 is to take place on 1st August 2021. However, due to the surge in COVID-19 cases, there are high chances that NTA may decide to postpone the NEET 2021 exam to September.

NEET 2021 is to be held on 1st August 2021 and the application form for the same was expected to be released anytime soon. However, due to the fourth wave of COVID-19 in India, there are high chances that NTA may postpone the NEET 2021 exam. It is estimated that more than 16 lakh candidates will apply for NEET 2021 and postponing the exam further to September will not be a wise decision as it will again lead to a delay in the academic session.

Also, with the CBSE class 12 exam being postponed to June, there are chances of NEET 2021 being held in September. According to the official notification released by the Education Minister, the class 12 board exams have been postponed till 1st June 2021 and after reviewing the situation on the respective date, the ministry will announce the fresh dates for the board exams.

He also informed that a notice of at least 15 days will be given before the start of the class 12 examination. This implies that the CBSE class 12 board exam will most likely begin after 15th July and will continue for a month. The board will also require time to release the class 12 board result further postponing the NEET 2021 exam. Looking at the current scenario, most likely NEET 2021 exam will be postponed and will most likely take place in September following the NEET 2021 result will be released in October.

Also, NEET 2021 aspirants are requested not to believe any rumor and the best is to wait till the official notification is released by NTA. NTA is yet to release the NEET 2021 official brochure. Candidates must also note that under no circumstances will NEET 2021 exam be cancelled. It will only be postponed.
