One of the reputed banks of India, YES Bank, has made a slight change in the process of recruiting candidates from top-B schools. It has introduced a game-based evaluation round apart from group discussions and interviews that are conducted during the recruitment process at premier B-Schools.
As part of YES Bank's YES Professional Entrepreneurship Programme or YPEP, the bank is going to visit premier B-Schools like IIMs, SPJIMR, IITs, XLRI, NITIE and ISB to onboard talent. It is a flagship campus initiative of YES Bank.
In order to launch this vision and idea, YES Bank has partnered with Able Ventures and Artic Shores to design a game-based app on iOS and Android to assess the core competencies of the candidates. The primary objective of YES Bank is to deploy a digital assessment tool for evaluating the candidates.
The specially designed gamification app will evaluate the following competencies of the candidates: -
- YES personality
- Drive for results
- Professional entrepreneurship
- Quality focus
- Influence and impact
- Customer focus
The app had been tested initially in last year's Y-PEP hires, and it was found that the app provides exact results on how a candidate behaves. This was achieved while considering every single decision the player makes during the game. Through this app, around 3,000 data points can be captured in a 25-minute session. It gives better results than the traditional assessment.
The gamification app will also help the candidates receive instant feedback, which will further help them interpret and learn something new about themselves. The app has been designed with a creative concept, and the candidates can access the app easily.
