WBJEE 2023 admit card will release on April 20, 2023. Aliah University Kolkata was formerly known as Mohammedan College of Calcutta or Madrasah-i-Aliah. It was established by Warren Hastings in New Town. It was converted into a university in 2008. It is an autonomous institute.

Aliah University Application Process 2023

The application process for Aliah University is completely online. Candidates are required to follow the below-mentioned steps to complete the Aliah University application process:

Step 1: Register on the official admission portal of Aliah University with basic details, including name, email-id, mobile no., state, gender and password

Step 2: Fill in the application form.

Step 3: Apply for the preferred course. 

Step 4: Fill the application form with the necessary details and upload the necessary documents.

AUAT is a national-level entrance examination conducted by Aliah University for UG, PG and integrated course admissions. Total 533 seats are available for UG courses and 1022 seats are available for PG courses. 

Eligibility Criteria for AUAT 

• For B.Tech courses candidates must have completed class 12 with PCM. 
• For B.Tech lateral entry, candidates must have a diploma in Engineering with 60%. 
• For five years BA-MA and B.Sc-M.Sc course, candidates must have completed class 12. 
• For M.Tech, candidates must have completed B.E/B.Tech with 6.5 DGPA. 

AUAT Highlights

Aliah University cut off 2023 will be out soon. Aliah University admissions are based on cut-off. In order to be eligible for admissions, candidates have to register and appear for applicable entrance exams. Based on the entrance exam scores, the university releases cut off lists. For B.Tech admission, WBJEE is accepted here. For B.Tech lateral entry, JELET is accepted.

Students at Aliah University participate in summer internships. The training and placement cell at the university coordinates with industries and different organisations to ensure good placement for its students. Aliah University does not offer scholarships. Aliah University students can avail of scholarships provided by UGC and the state. The scholarships include minority scholarships to students belonging to the SC, ST and EWS categories. Merit cum means scholarships are also offered. 

Aliah University campus is equipped with modern facilities and excellent infrastructure. It has all the facilities of a modern university. 

Hostel 

Aliah University offers residential facilities at affordable cost. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. There is an eight storied hostel building. Students get admission here on the basis of merit. 

Central Library 

The library in Aliah University started functioning in 2010 in Saltlake. The three university campuses at Newtown, Taltala and Park Circus have separate libraries. The students have access to popular magazines, journals, theses, e-books, reports, e-journals and online databases in Sciences, Humanities, and Social Sciences. The Newtown Library deals with Engineering and Technology, Management, Pure Science and Biological Science collection while the Park Circus library covers the collection on Humanities, Nursing, Law, Education etc. The oldest library situated at the Taltala campus has rare books on Islamic theology, Jurisprudence, Law etc.

There is a computer lab having 112 computers with internet access. There are practical labs for subjects like Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Multimedia, Biological Science, Zoology etc.
