Indian Institute of Aeronautical Science - IIAS

Indian Institute of Aeronautical Science was established in 2002.The Institute is a part of Dhirendra Gopal Education and Charitable Trust which offers Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course approved by Director General of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India. It is onev of the prestigous institute of eastern India to offer training in Mechanical and Avionics stream. The Aviation Industry has two main branches -The Flying branch and theEngineering branch. Flying is the better known of the two branches. We are all aware of the Pilots who fly the Aircraft. But we are not aware of the maintenance part of the aircraft and how it is done by the men behind the wings i.e. Aircraft Maintenance Engineers. As there are flying academics/clubs to train pilots all over the Country which are approved by the Director General of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India, sirnilarly there are many approved institutes to conduct the course of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering. The vision of Indian Institute of Aeronautical Science is to be the leading centre of learning and innovation in emerging areas of business and management education. For every course the college imparts practical training to its students that helps them to understand better, improve their demonstrative skills, eliminate hesitation and in this process strives to mould them into industry ready professionals. Mission of Indian Institute of Aeronautical Science is 'to foster critical analysis by training students both in theory and practice so as to equip them with skills needed for facing global challenges with team work and human values. And to build quality network with the Industry, educationists and the society for exchanging knowledge'. The modern teaching methodology assists the students in getting an all around view of engineering, technology and the entrepreneur world. The diligent faculty team of the college possesses hands-on experience and up to date knowledge of their subject and area of expertise. The infrastructure and facilities of Indian Institute of Aeronautical Science consists of spread-out campus alongside various amenities in the form of library, computer center, classrooms with proper teaching and learning aids, medical facilities etc. The institute seeks to place each of its students in an organization/company of great repute.
