Aliah University, also known as AU, is a government university established in the year 2008. Located in Kolkata, West Bengal, the university is administered under the Government of West Bengal. The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The institute has not been ranked by NIRF in recent years according to available data. Aliah University offers a total of over 50 courses at the undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and doctoral (PhD) levels. August 28, 2025GATE 2026 registration is now open at gate2026.iitg.ac.in for admission to M.Tech and research programs. Candidates can submit their applications without a late fee until September 28, 2025, while the deadline with a late fee is October 9, 2025. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026, in two sessions.
