IIT JAM is a national-level entrance test conducted every year by the different IITs to grant admission in different postgraduate courses at IITs and integrated Ph.D. courses at IISc Bangalore. 
The Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM) is an all-India examination conducted across the country by the IITs and IISc on a rotational basis. IIT Roorkee has added a new program for admitting students to MSc (Biosciences and Bioengineering) with IIT JAM Biotechnology score for the academic year 2024-25. This program is open to students who have qualified for the IIT JAM Biotechnology exam. The selection will be based on the JAM Biotechnology score. 

The program will cover a wide range of topics in Biosciences and Bio-Engineering, including:

IIT JAM 2024 Pointers  

• IIT JAM admission is for both Indian and Foreign nationals. It is open to anyone from any country.
• There is no age restriction/ limit.
• IIT JAM 2024 will be conducted in 7 subjects and in Computer Based Test.
• The IIT JAM 2024 question paper will have three objective types of questions viz (1) Multiple Choice Questions, (2) Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and (3) Numerical Answer Type (NATs) Questions
• Aspirants may appear for ONE  paper or TWO Papers
• Candidates who qualify JAM 2024 are eligible to apply for over 3000 seats in IITs for the academic year 2024-25. There is no additional evaluation process, such as an entrance test or interview, required for admission to the programmes in Admitting Institutes under JAM 2024.
• JAM 2024 Scores can also be used for admission to different programmes like MSc, MSc (Tech), MSc- MTech Dual Degree, MS (R), Joint MSc - PhD, MSc - PhD Dual Degree, and Integrated PhD in various institutes.
• IIT JAM 2024 scores will be used for direct admission to around 3000 seats for counselling through CCMN in NITs and other CFTIs.
• JNCASR, IIPE, IISc, IISER Bhopal, and IISER Pune also use JAM 2024 scores for admission to postgraduate programmes.
• IIT JAM 2024 Examination will be conducted across 109 Cities in India.

The IIT JAM registration 2024 is held in online mode and only eligible candidates are required to participate in the same. Candidates must fill the IIT JAM 2024 application form with their personal, educational, and contact information. They must also upload scanned copies of their photograph and signature.

If any errors are found in the IIT JAM 2024 online application, candidates can make corrections. IIT JAM 2024 Application Form has been released on September 05, 2023.
