Why Do IIT Students Prefer Domestic Over International Job Offers?

Only a limited percentage of IIT students are showing interest in international job offers in recent years. Experts attribute multiple reasons for the changing trend with regard to international placements at IITs.

International jobs have always been lucrative for IITians. Many students left India to take up IT jobs in countries such as UK and US. These countries have a greater demand for skilled IT professionals. On the other hand, the immigration policies of these countries have favoured the aspirants. However, this trend has started to change gradually.
