NLAT UG 2020 Paper Analysis

The details of NLAT UG 2020 paper analysis have been mentioned below. The candidates who sat for NLAT 2020 must go through these points to know the take of every examinee regarding the entrance test as that will give him/ her an idea of his/ her performance and chances of getting admission.

  • The syllabus of NLAT 2020 was similar to the syllabus of CLAT 2020. No major changes were kept while creating the exam because the students did not have enough time on their hands to prepare for NLAT 2020.
  • NLAT 2020 consisted of general passages and on which multiple-choice questions (MCQs) were asked. Each question carried four options.
  • There were four comprehension passages and ten questions were asked on each of them. Out of the 10 questions asked on every passage, each subject comprised two questions.
  • The exam pattern was different from that of other law entrance exams and hence, students found the passages to be quite lengthy and time-consuming.
  • Students struggled with managing their time as they had only 45 minutes to complete the exam. Moreover, they could visit a question just once and that added to the chances of making mistakes and the time management problem.
  • The difficulty level of each section was different. While English Language and Legal Reasoning were relatively easier, students found the sections of Quantitative Techniques and Logical Reasoning to be difficult.
  • Some serious technical issues were faced by students in the mock trials on September 11, 2020. This continued on the exam day as well and some students complained that the software used for conducting the exam was not up to the mark. In all the shifts, it took more than the allocated time for some candidates to complete the verification process. In fact, some students could not give the exam since the verification process took more than an hour to finish.
  • As per the analysis of shift 1 of NLAT, the reasonable number of attempts for this batch is above 30 questions.
