General Nursing and Midwifery is a 42-month UG programme offered in the top GNM colleges in UP. After a course in GNM, an aspirant can do a B. Sc in Nursing and find jobs in pediatric nursing, neonatal nursing, emergency nursing, critical care nursing, cardiac nursing etc. Admission to the top GNM colleges in Uttar Pradesh is basis marks scored in Class 12 Board exams from a recognized board. Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery is a 3-year programme followed by a 6-month internship. The fee for a GNM course can range anywhere between Rs. 25000 – Rs. 1,500,00 annually, depending upon the GNM college in UP or GNM university in UP. The best General Nursing and Midwifery colleges should be approved by the Medical Council, so ensure to check before taking admission in any of the top General Nursing and Midwifery university. The eligibility criteria for GNM course in UP is Class 10+2 from a recognized Board with Science (PCB) & English as mandatory subjects with aggregate of 40% marks. Students with 10+2 vocational ANM under any recognized board or recognized by Indian Nursing Council with 40% marks as well as Registered as ANM with State Nursing Registration Council can also apply for General Nursing and Midwifery course in Uttar Pradesh in the popular GNM college or university. Job prospects after GNM course include Staff Nurse, Home Nurse, Health Visitor & Community Health Worker etc.
