Overall Campus Life The BFIT Dehradun campus is spacious and equipped with multiple facilities. The moment you step into the campus, you are made to feel at home. One of the main highlights of the BFIT campus is its “Writing Centre”. It is a specially designed seminar programme that is held in the seminar hall from time to time. It aims to enhance the academic skills of students. It focuses on research, writing, and analytical skills and expert opinions are discussed in the seminars. The sports facilities in the institute are extremely developed. Apart from sports grounds for basketball, football, tennis, etc., there is an “Athlete Support and Information Service” as well. It helps students to know the process and factors of registering for national-level sports tournaments. One thing that I like the best about our campus life is the counselling service. The institute understands that students like us can face many mental and emotional issues and tries its best to support us. The counsellors provide support to all students in a personalised and confidential manner. Academics BFIT offers more than 85 courses across graduate and postgraduate levels. Some of the popular courses are BBA, B.Sc, M.Sc, BA LLB, etc. The academic curriculum is divided into a semester format. The university follows a Semester System which is in accordance with the global teaching standards. The institute is, however, very particular about the attendance criteria. Students must have 100% attendance in all semester courses. However, there is a relaxation of 25% in unavoidable cases. There is great interaction between the faculty and students. The teachers help students clarify their queries from time to time. Our academic performance is evaluated from time to time through multiple assessments. Some of the common assessments we have to attempt are class tests, case discussions, presentations, vivas, quizzes, home assignments, semester exams, and terminal exams. Apart from the theoretical aspects, our skill enhancement is also taken care of. Placements Students at BFIT are extremely satisfied with their placements each year. There is a dedicated Training and Placement cell that works on all placement activities. Students are groomed throughout their programmes to make them industry-ready. In the final year, the placement cell pays special attention to the training of the students. Group discussions, mock interviews, career counselling, and many more activities are conducted. Additionally, communication, personality grooming, aptitude, and logical reasoning are also polished. We have a special placement advisory team that comprises some of our most experienced teachers. The training and placement cell coordinates with the Head of Departments of the college to make placements smooth. My seniors were very satisfied with the entire placement process. Many famous companies visit the campus for placements. Some of the common ones are Wipro, Flipkart, Ranbaxy, Genesys, etc. The highest placement offer was around Rs 18 lakh per annum. Not just this, the Fortune 500 companies and more than 500 MNCs are also affiliated with BFIT institute for placements. Overall Studying at BFIT has been a memorable experience of mine. Being a student of BBA I had to attend classes regularly. The overall experience at BFIT Dehradun was great to say. The college is strict on the matter of attendance. You have to pay fines if you don't have 75% attendance. The learning environment is recommendable for almost all the courses taught here. The campus life had been enjoyable for me and my friends. I must say that BFIT is a college that focuses on the holistic development of its students. The faculty members are highly qualified and experienced thereby making your learning enriching. The college offers career guidance through a career counseling cell. The placement opportunities are also good at BFIT.
