Students must know about the list of required and important documents before attending the counselling. The documents required include personal details, academic qualifications and certifications wherever necessary. Pre counselling stage sets the foundation for a smooth counselling experience for the students. One must look at the following points carefully:

1. Check Your Eligibility Criteria

Students must check the eligibility criteria set by your selected university or state nursing council. The common requirements by most institutions are:

  • Must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as core subjects.
  • Minimum percentage requirement (usually 45-50%) in aggregate in Science stream.
  • Age proof and nationality.

2. Keep Digital and Hard Copies Ready

Documents are the key, and you must create a folder on your personal device for all scanned documents in correct file format and size so that you can upload at ease and present whenever is required. It is advised that a hard-copy folder must be kept with neatly arranged documents. The list of documents include:

  • Class 10th and 12th marksheets and passing certificates
  • BSc Nursing entrance exam Admit card and result
  • Recent Passport-size photographs
  • ID proof (Aadhar card, passport, or voter ID)

4. Pay the Counselling Registration Fee

You must register for BSc Nursing counselling on the official portal and pay the required fee. If there are any problems in fee payment, then you may not be able to participate in seat allocation. You must keep a screenshot or receipt of the transaction for future verification.

The counselling day is significant as it can be nerve-racking. It is important to be well-prepared to keep the process smooth. Whether you attend in-person counselling or online verification, please follow these key steps.

1. Arrive in Time or Log in on Time

If your counselling is offline, then you must reach the venue at least 30 minutes before the reporting time. For online counselling, you must check for technical glitch and log in early to ensure a stable internet connection.

BSc Nursing Post-Allotment Checklist

You must remember that the process of counselling does not end with seat allotment. You must complete other formalities to secure your admission.

1. Download the Allotment Letter

Students must log in to the official portal and download their seat allotment letter after results are published. The allotment letter is an official proof of your college assignment, so keep both digital and printed copies safe.

2. Pay the Admission Fee

You must pay the provisional admission or seat confirmation fee within the deadline. If you delay payment, your seat allotments can be cancelled. Keep your payment receipt with other important documents.

3. Report to the Allotted College

Once your admission is confirmed after payment of fees, then you must visit the allotted institute as per the reporting time and date mentioned in the offer letter. Make sure you carry your original documents for final submission and complete all verification formalities.

4. Stay Updated About Further Rounds

As per the ranks of the students, there can be multiple counselling rounds. If you wish to upgrade your allotted college, then you must register again as per the official schedule. On the other hand, if you are happy with your seat, complete final admission formalities at the institution.
