Detailed Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

• Passing 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.​
• Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) as core subjects along with English.

Minimum Marks

• 45% to 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination for the General category
• 40% marks in PCB and English combined for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC)

Age Limit

• Your minimum age must be 17 years on 31st December of the year of admission.
• The upper age limit is 35 years for maximum colleges.
• 5 years relaxation on the upper age limit is provided to SC, ST, OBC, EWS candidates, and Persons with Disability.

Nationality & Residency

• It is mandatory for you to be a citizen of India.
• For state quota seats in government colleges, you must be permanent residents/domiciles of the relevant northeastern state (like Assam, Meghalaya, etc.).

Admission Criteria

Arunachal Pradesh

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA)

• Based on your NEET-UG scores, a merit list will be prepared, and if you make it to the list, you must appear for the counselling round for seat allotment in various government and private nursing colleges.
• The counselling and admission process for the state quota seats will be administered by the Arunachal Pradesh Nursing Council (APNC).

Assam

Common Entrance Examination (CEE) conducted by the Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS)

• Online registration
• Filling out the application form
• Payment of examination fee
• Centralized online counselling depending on the CEE merit rank

Manipur

State-level BSc Nursing Entrance Examination (multiple-choice questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology of the 10+2 level)

Counselling is based on the merit rank obtained in the entrance exam.

Meghalaya

• Common Entrance Examination (CEE) conducted by the Director of Health Services (MI), Government of Meghalaya (the syllabus comprises Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English)
• NEET-UG for admission to NEIGRIHMS

Counselling will be conducted independently for state CEE and NEIGRIHMS.

Mizoram

State Medical and Technical Entrance Examination (SMATEE) conducted by the Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE)

Counselling and seat allotment will be conducted by the Higher & Technical Education Department, Government of Mizoram, depending on your SMATEE merit rank.

Nagaland

Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG)

• Counselling for allotment of seats will be based on the scores obtained by you in the CUET-UG exam.
• Private nursing colleges either conduct their own entrance tests or consider Class 12 marks.

Sikkim

Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG)

Counselling is based on the marks obtained in the CUET exam
