Andhra Pradesh Govt. to Establish I-Hub in Vizag to Promote Digtial Learning
The government of Andhra Pradesh is collaborating with UNESCO-MGIEP for the setting up I-Hub in Visakhapatnam in order to enhance and promote digital learning.
N Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh addressed the delegates at the UNESCO-MGIEP’S Tech 2018 conference on 15th November 2018. During the conference, he informed that 5,000 digital classrooms and over 4,000 virtual classrooms have been set up in the state and more will be established soon. The trend of the digital and virtual classrooms is growing day by day.
He further informed that Andhra Pradesh government has applied technology to all the departments including agriculture for corruption-free governance, improving efficiency and accountability. According to him it also helps in promoting transparency.

Naidu claimed that his government is number one in using technology and that the technology has been of great help in all the departments. During his address, he also confirmed that AP government is collaborating with UNESCO-MGIEP’s for setting up I-Hub in Visakhapatnam to enhance and promote digital learning. The state government will allocate the land for the same.
Meanwhile, UNESCO-MGIEP has come up with the 2nd edition of Transforming Education Conference for Humanity in partnership with Andhra State government.

Anantha Duraippah, Director, UNESCO-MGIP said that Tech 2018 will showcase the importance of digital learning and role of games in building a sustainable and peaceful society.
Many eminent personalities including researchers, policy makers, educationists and foreign ministers from 62 countries were a part of the three-day conference.
