CBSE Writes to DDA with a Hope of Procuring More Land

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) needs more space to function properly and that is why it has asked the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to allocate them a piece of land in the capital of the country. The headquarters of CBSE is currently located in Preet Vihar of East Delhi and requires more space as the number of staff has increased significantly. The strength of the staff used to be 900 but now it is more than 1,500. The amount of work that CBSE undertakes has also increased that has further resulted in the need to procure more space.

Another reason stated by an official while talking to a media person was that the other offices of CBSE are pretty far away from the headquarter and it is hard to commute. So, they have asked the DDA to provide them space somewhere nearby so that it increases the productivity and efficiency of the organisation. The official also said that the strength of the staff is only going to increase as they are organising a number of exams for recruitment purposes.

The chairman of CBSE also confirmed that this request has been made by them and he also accepted that the CBSE will be terminating the facility of re-evaluation of answer sheets. This facility will not be available in and after the year 2017. However, genuine cases will be entertained.
