Department Of Education Udaipur Establish Harassment Cell

To hear the complaints about women harassment, the unfinished wing which was closed throughout the year is finally activated in the Department of Elementary Education. Cell has been reconstructed with new members after the transfer of old members.

It is known that a local newspaper published many stories under the campaign named “Madame ki yanha koi nahi sunta” (No one listens to Madame), this campaign highlighted the ignorance of education department. After this Mr. Narayan Prajapat - District Education Officer restructuring the cell, who recently joined the Department of Elementary Education. Here, in this sensitive case, one male clerk had appointed initially by secondary (first-second) and elementary department. After initial formation in the elementary department, of the things still remains the same in secondary department. Higher officials of the cell were not formed yet by secondary department, while hundreds of female teachers working now.

This is the committee :- Chairman – Mr. Sarfaraz Mansoori, Assistant District Project Coordinator,Vice President – Mr. Praveen Mehta, Additional District Education Officer (elementary education), New member – Yashoda Dashora, Principal of R.E.S. Schoolr. The two members are older.

And the position of the district is: - It was informed that currently around eight thousand teachers in Elementary Education. In which 30 to 40 percent are female teachers. Departmental sources said that According to 2015-16, there are in Secondary department, approved post are 10 thousand 769 posts and 2 thousand 576 are additional posts, in which 7 thousand 838 teachers are currently working.
