Gujarat University Enrolls Students in M.A. Without Management Approval
Gujarat University continues providing admission to the students in Master of Arts (M.A.) course during the first round of allotment even after the college was put in No Admission Zone from last year.
Gujarat University continues providing admission to the students in Master of Arts (M.A.) course during the first round of allotment even after the management refused for the same. Gujarat University's admission committee has allotted seats to the candidates in HK Arts College which discontinued offering PG courses from the last year due to the shortage of staff.
The officials of the HK Arts College informed that they have requested several times that their MA course will not be offered this academic year as well. However, the admission committee said that they have not received any such proposal.
The management of the respective college had made representations several times to the committee that it will not be able to run MA courses this academic year as well due to various reasons. Even after reminders to put the college in 'No Admission Zone' for MA courses, they are yet to receive the response on the same.

Over 241 students have been given admission to HK Arts College in MA course informed Gujarat University's admission committee. The students have raised their voice against the same as some of the students who were allotted admission in M.A. in English at the respective college realised that the college is in no position to offer M.A. course.
Meanwhile, many seats are lying vacant in the respective course. More than half of the seats are lying vacant.
