In pursuit of the higher rates of employment in the state of Haryana, the State Government has come with an efficient plan. On 19th October 2019, the Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khatter declared that the government will be setting up a Human Resource Department in the state to cater to the unemployment condition of the youths in Haryana.

CM Manohar Lal Khattar addressed a public gathering at Shahbad near Kurukshetra. He made this announcement while addressing the gathering which was a part of the ongoing campaign ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra’. The campaign is being run for the assembly polls that are due in October this year.

As per an official release, Haryana CM said the Human Resource Department will not only be providing proper guidance to the youth for nurturing them but also work hard towards ensuring their employment. Earlier, when CM Khattar was addressing a public gathering at Ladwa, he claimed that the government is working on providing the privilege of government schemes to the people by making this town a sub-division. Due to this, the people of the town can now access the provision to these government schemes at their doorstep. He further added that to promote higher education amongst women of Haryana, nine more colleges will be opened by next year which will be close to their doorsteps.

During the reign of the current government of Haryana, the employment front has not been built stronger. According to the Fifth Annual Employment-Unemployment Survey (2015-16), Haryana is listed amongst the 20 states in India with the worst unemployment rates. As per the survey conducted by a leading newspaper, more than six lakh youths of the state are registered as unemployed and the current unemployment runs into tens of lakhs. Now whether this new department sobers up the frustration of the unemployed youth of the state or turns out to be another unaccomplished attempt by the government, that only time will tell.
