ICAR Choice Filling 2025 Live Updates; Counselling registration to begin at 2 PM today, schedule out

ICAR Choice Filling 2025 : The Indian Council of Agricultural Research will start the choice filling process on October 14 for the Round 1 counselling. The counselling schedule has finally been released by ICAR for UG, PG and PhD courses. Students can register for the counselling from 2 PM onwards on October 14. The choice filling is a one-time option, and students must fill the college prefrences carefully.

Students Dissapointed with Delay in conducting ICAR Counselling 2025

Students from states like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, and Odisha have already completed their agriculture admissions through state-level processes. However, 20% of seats are still pending under the All India Quota. AIQ aspirants are missing academics due to the delay, which is causing more frustration among them.

Students have expressed their frustration on social media and emailed the authorities, but responses are limited to generic messages stating that the counselling schedule will be released, choice filling portal will be activated soon. With no concrete information or expected date provided, it is likely that the portal might be released after October 24 if ICAR does not find a quick solution to the issues causing the delay.

Experts say the AIQ seats have increased from 15% to 20% this year, changing the seat matrix, which might be contributing to the delay. The authorities are likely working on these changes, which is taking time. There's no official word from ICAR yet, so we'll have to wait for further updates.
