IIM-Bangalore to Celebrate 43rd Foundation Day on October 28
The theme of the 43rd Foundation Day celebrations is ‘Social Inclusiveness and Our Education System’.
Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore is going to celebrate its 43 rd Foundation Day on October 28, 2016. Various events and activities are lined up for the Foundation Day celebrations. Some of the major events are Foundation Day Lecture and the Distinguished Alumni Awards Ceremony.
The theme of the 43 rd Foundation Day celebrations is ‘Social Inclusiveness and Our Education System’. The lecture on the theme will be delivered by the Chief Guest, Dr. H. Harish Hande, Managing Director, SELCO Solar Light Pvt. Ltd. The celebrations will commence at 5.30pm at IIM-Bangalore Auditorium.

Professor Raghavan Srinivasan, Director Incharge of IIM-B will present a report of IIM-B’s achievements. As a part of these celebrations, Distinguished Alumni Award (DAA) will be conferred on Haragopal Mangipudi and Ramesh Srinivasan. It would be a proud moment for the institute to honour two awardees for their professional excellence as well as society, industry and academia.
Currently, Haragopal Mangipudi is the CEO & MD of finUNO. finUNO is one of the global top three innovations in financial services and customer experience. He was the first person to co-create the first multi-model Intelligent Financial Assistance. It was launched at the Global Intelligent Assistance Conference in NYC. He also served as Member of the Executive Council at Infosys Ltd. He was the student of the first batch of IIM-B’s PGSEM programme in the year 2001.
Currently, Ramesh Srinivasan is the CEO of Ooyala Inc in Silicon Valley, California. Previously, he served as President and CEO of Innotrac Corporation, an e-commerce fulfilment service provider. He was the student of IIM-B’s PGP programme in the year 1984.
The names of these two distinguished alumni will be engraved on the Wall of Fame at the institute.
