Industry Interaction Programmes at Sambhram Institute of Technology

Civil Engineering Department of Sambhram Institute of Technology has been imparting quality education to meet the technological advancement and industrial requirements.

In fact, civil engineering is called the mother of all engineering disciplines. This branch of engineering deals with the construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment,design, including works such as bridges, canals, roads, highways,dams, airports, buildings, flyovers, tunnels and offshore structures. It also involves designing , planning, and executing structural works.

The Civil Engineering department has been imparting excellent education due to qualified and dedicated faculty, infrastructure facilities and state of the art laboratories.

The Department invites the eminent prominent person from industry to deliver technical talks on emerging areas for the benefit of our students and faculty. It has signed MOUs with leading organizations in respect of material testing and research. The department has included eminent persons from industry and academics advisory council to shore up the academic transfer of knowledge as well as consultancy.

Industry Interactions / projects :

In 2011 student of V & III Semester visited Mahadevapura Flyover under construction by BDA. It was coordinated by Santhosh R.

In 2011 students of V Semester visited ACC cement factory near Thondaybhavi (Gowribidanur) . The programme was coordinated by Manjunath S .

In 2012 students of IV Semester visited Civil Block (SaIT) under the coordination of Manjunath S, Santhosh R, and Dr. U.B. Mallikarjuna .

In 2012 students of VI semester visited Metrocasting yard near Peenya on 2nd&3rd of April 2012 under the guide of Manjunath S, Santhosh R .
