Chemistry

  • Difficulty level moderate

  • Questions based on topics from Chemistry in Everyday Life, Co-ordination Compounds and Ores & Metallurgy

  • Inorganic and organic chemistry had more weightage in the paper

  • Most of the inorganic questions were based on NCERT

Mathematics

  • Difficulty level moderate

  • Questions based on topics from Calculus, Binomial, Progressions, Matrices & Determinants, Algebra, Co-ordinate Geometry and Calculus

  • Few numerical questions had lengthy calculations

JEE Main 2021 Phase 3 Day 1 Analysis - Students Reaction

After shift 1 of the JEE Main 2021 phase 3 day 1 exam was conducted successfully, our experts got in touch with some of the candidates to catch their reactions. After speaking to a handful of candidates, it was evident that - 

  • The overall difficulty level of the first shift exam of JEE Main 2021 phase 3 (Day 1) was moderate

  • Chemistry was the easiest section of all the sections and most of the questions in Chemistry were based on NCERT

  • Physics was also moderately challenging to the candidates

  • The mathematics section was both lengthy and tough 

  • Overall, compared to the previous sessions, the July 20 (Shift 1) paper was less calculative, reported the candidates

Important Instructions for JEE Main 2021 Phase 3 Day 2 (July 22) Candidates

Candidates who will appear for the JEE Main 2021 phase 3 examination on the second day, i.e 22nd July, must be aware of the following instructions and guidelines - 

  • Restricted items mentioned on the JEE Main 2021 hall tickets/admit cards are not allowed at any cost inside the examination hall

  • Carry a valid photoidentity proof with your JEE main 2021 admit cards to your respective exam centres

  • Non-exam related things such as a small sanitiser bottle, a transparent water bottle and a mask will be allowed inside the exam centres

  • To avoid overcrowding, the candidates must reach their respective exam centres 30 minutes before the time mentioned on their respective admit cards
