Local Status Issue delays AP EAMCET Final Phase Seat Allotment 2025: DTE to file Petition on HC Orders
The AP High Court ordered the DTE to include three non-local students as local students in the AP EAMCET Counselling 2025. However, DTE is going to file a petition on the HC order, and has postponed the seat allotment indefinitely.

Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education has
indefinitely postponed AP EAMCET Final Phase Seat Allotment 2025
that was supposed to be released on August 4. AP High Court has ordered to include 3 non-local students as 'local students' in AP EAMCET counselling 2025. However, the Department of Technical Education was not satisfied with the decision, as the authority would face practical problems if these students were considered as local students. Therefore, DTE decided to file a petition in the AP High Court and challenge the decision. The petition will be filed on August 5, and the release of the seat allotment result for the final phase counselling shall depend on the verdict of the High Court.

Here is the detailed information regarding the delay in AP EAMCET final phase counselling 2025 -- Three students who studied Class 10 in Andhra Pradesh and Intermediate in Hyderabad applied for AP EAMCET counselling 2025
- DTE did not consider these students under the 'Local Status' category, as they did not study Intermediate in Andhra Pradesh
- These students have approached the AP High Court challenging the DTE's decision
- After the arguments, the AP High Court ordered DTE to consider these students under 'the Local Status' category
- DTE was not satisfied with the High Court orders
- According to DTE, considering these students under local status shall give scope for new problems in counselling, such as reservation policies, changes in entire seat allotments, etc. DTE is quoting various practical problems with respect to HC's decision
- DTE will file a petition in the AP HC on August 5, and the seat allotment results will be released based on the decision of the HC. Students will need to wait another 3-4 days to get clarity on the seat allotment date
