Maharashtra 2020 TET Fraud has recently led to the arrest of 15 people who have been accused of tampering marks and favoritism in return for money. Pune police on Tuesday filed a 3955-page charge sheet in the 2020 Teachers Eligibility Test case.

Among those against whom the charge sheet has been filed in the first class judicial magistrate court is Tukaram Supe, suspended commissioner of Maharashtra State Council of Examinations (MSCE), education department consultant Abhijit Sawrikar, said Kumar Ghadge. senior inspector, Cyber Police Station. The police probe has found that marks of over 7,800 candidates were fraudulently changed or tampered with.

About Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test(TET)
MAHA TET or Maharashtra TET is a state-level teacher eligibility test (TET) conducted by the Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE). This test is conducted every year to check the eligibility of candidates for Classes 1 to 8 teachers in the schools of Maharashtra. The MAHA TET exam is conducted at two levels – the primary (paper 1) and the upper primary (paper 2). MAHA TET paper 1 is conducted for those candidates who plan to become teachers of Classes 1-5. Likewise, MAHA TET paper 2 is conducted for those candidates who plan to be teachers of Classes 6-8. Candidates who wish to be teachers of Classes 1-8, need to appear for both papers.
