MCQ Based Entrance at LU This Year

LU is organising this year entrance examination using multiple choice pattern. The entrance examination will be testing students knowledge of 10+2 in their respective stream.

The entrance test will have subjects taught at Intermediate level in in UP, CBSE and ISC board. The question paper will have 100 multiple choice questions to be answered in 90 minutes, carrying four marks each. There will be negative marking--one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

“For entrance examination university has specified subjects for every stream from which questions will asked,“ said LU vice chancellor S B Nimse. Students have appeared for board examinations recently and all they need is to revise class XII syllabus again and there is no need for any guides available in the market, he added.

The entrance examination of Bachelor in Arts (BA ), and BA (Hons) will have questions of class XII level from eight subjects including English, economics, geography , Hindi, history , political science, psychology and sociology . There will be 14 questions from English and Hindi each and 12 questions from other subjects.

Candidates appearing for BCom entrance test will get question papers testing their knowledge of accountancy , commerce, economics and mathematics. Candidates will have to answer 25 questions each from each subject In science stream for admission to BSc (Mathematics) will attempt questions of physics, chemistry and maths and BSc (Biology) candidates will get questions from botany , chemistry and zoology

For admission to LLB (integrated), students will be tested on current affairs, general awareness, common legal knowledge, aptitude and mental ability. The question paper will have 20 questions from each category

Bachelors in Computer Application (BCA) entrance examination will get questions from computer science, general knowledge, logical reasoning, mathematics, numerical aptitude and physics.

For the two Bachelors in Vocational (BVOC) courses introduced by the university last year, LU has specified subjects from which questions will be asked only for the BVoc (renewable energy) course.
