Naval Higher Command Course Inaugurated at Naval War College, Goa
A naval spokesman said that the duration of the NHCC is extended from 32 to 37 weeks.
The 29th Naval Higher Command Course (NHCC) was inaugurated on September 6, 2016, at Naval War College (NWC) at INS Mandovi. The course was launched by AR Karve, Vice Admiral. On this occasion, he addressed the course participants and PhD students.
He said that friendly relation and cooperation are the essential factors to tackle the emerging maritime threats in the Indian Ocean region. He stressed that the higher learning of theory and practice of war. He quoted “war is not extinct, however long the peace interlude may be.”

The Commanding-in-chief of Southern Naval Command remained the students that the college provided them with the unique learning experience. He encouraged the students towards ‘continued scholarship’ and motivated them to find the optimal solutions to the various problems that are faced in the maritime domain.

On this occasion, Mr. Karve released the annual edition of ‘China Compendium’ which consist of the essays contributed by the students of the ‘Chinese Maritime Studies and Research Group’ of NWC.

The curriculum of the course consists of subjects like strategy and policy, military applications of technology, the theory of international relations, energy security, logistics management, war-gaming, research methodology, global political economy and regional strategic relations.
