Niti Aayog Report: UP Ranks 36th, Bihar Ranks 20th in Quality Education
Niti Aayog Report reveals that Uttar Pradesh has been placed 20th in terms of providing quality education as per the Sustainable Development Goals. The quality education goal aims to ensure inclusive, equitable and quality education for all.
According to the NITI Aayog report, Uttar Pradesh has been placed 20th in terms of providing quality education. The recently released Niti Aayog Report throws light on India's performance in meeting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals - SDGs.
Niti Aayog List of Top States in terms of Quality Education
The top performers in quality education ( SDGs) are listed in the table below:

The nine states that performed poorly in comparison to Uttar Pradesh are as follows
- Jammu and Kashmir and West Bengal (score of 51)
- Madhya Pradesh (49)
- Sikkim (47)
- Odisha (46)
- Nagaland (45)
- Arunachal Pradesh (44)
- Meghalaya (38)
- Bihar (36)
As per the reports, the net enrolment ratio at the elementary and secondary level of Uttar Pradesh is 68.71%. The key area of concern for UP is the percentage of learning outcome which is 50.67% for Class 5th students and 44.25% for Class 8th students.
