Students of NMIMS came with a unique event as to help the student of the marginal background.
Money Mantra – the flagship event of the NMIMS Hyderabad showcased how students can play a constructive role in society even as they learn management lessons during their stay in the college.
Nischay, the Student Social Responsibility committee of NMIMS tries to help out the underprivileged section of society from different parts of the state.
Poor students were provided with a small amount of Rs. 300 each and they were thought how to multiply it within 7 hours. The fund raised so were supposed to help the poor people.
One the leading members of the Student Social Responsibility committee said, “This year NMIMS Hyderabad is supporting the education of two children by donating the collected fund to Spoorti Foundation. The college not only donates the money but also works closely with it to ensure that the children get proper care and education so that they can earn their own livelihood.”
While sharing his view Surprit Rekhi, one of the students involved in the event said, “The event encourages social entrepreneurship and makes an attempt at making the students socially sensitive and responsible. The college has been successfully conducting this event for the past three years,”
“We are also planning to make a significant contribution in other areas of social life this academic year, he added further.
