Over 2.58 Lakh Candidates Register for AP TET 2025 Phase 2; 65% female applicants
AP TET 2025 Phase 2 received almost 65% applications from female candidates, while male candidates were merely 45%. By the last date of application form, over 2.58 lakh candidates had submitted their applications for Paper 1 and 2.
AP TET 2025 Phase 2: The Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET) had a massive response this year as the number of applications reached 2,58,638 by the last date, November 23. The high turnout is a sign of the ever-growing demand for teaching jobs in the state and the significance of TET as a qualification for government teaching posts.
A notable feature of this year’s application statistics is the rise in the number of female applicants. Out of the total applications received for AP TET 2025 Phase 2,
1,67,668 are female candidates
, which is close to
65 per cent
. Whereas
90,970
was the number of applications submitted by
male candidates
. This trend indicates an increasing number of women are opting for teaching as a secure and honourable profession in Andhra Pradesh.

Paper-1A, which is conducted for Secondary Grade Teacher ( SGT ) posts, received 1,01,882 applications . Competition for primary teaching jobs in government schools is clearly tough. Likewise, Paper-2A (for School Assistant ( SLA ) Upper – for subject-wise teaching on upper classes) received 1,51,220 applications , in which one can see the huge number of aspirants for the subject-wise teaching role.
The increase in participation among women is reflective of a positive shift in the teaching profession towards inclusion and empowerment. With the expansion of government schools and recruitment cycles getting more organised, the TET exam is still a lifeline for thousands of teaching aspirants every year. AP TET 2025 Phase 2 results will be declared on January 19, followed by the announcement of AP DSC 2026 notification .
