Professional Development Cell at PCCoE Rocks!

Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering arranges various technical skill development and foreign language training programs to improve professional standards and to develop the personality of students.

Main functions of these programs are -

• To encourage students for enhancing their technical skills through various training programs like IBM certification, MSIT Certification, SAP, CAD-CAM etc. or any such program.
• To develop tie-up/MOU with any such organisation as per plan and need analysis.
• To monitor and control the effective conduct of such program ensuring regular attendance, active participation, and involvement of students. To carry out feedback analysis after the conclusion of the program.
• To create awareness among students about growing importance for foreign language study.
• Encourage students to learn foreign language and acquire required proficiency through certification exams

Awareness Program on Foreign Language Training

The awareness programme was conducted by Ms AnupaKonkne, Goethe Institute, Max Muller Bhavan, Pune, on 02/09/2015.Total 110 students were present for the programme. She guided the students for higher education opportunities in Germany as well as job opportunities in Germany and German-based companies in India. Also, she highlighted the nature of German language, the intricacies and how it is parallel to Devanagari. The session was very informative.

The awareness cum road show programme was conducted by TCS team on 23/12/2016.Total 210 students were present for the programme. The team guided the students for overall culture, the Japanese working environment. PCCoE has been selected under Hikari programme.

Session on GPS Tracking System

The session on “ GPS tracking system “ was organised in NSS camp on 26/12/2016 under PDC cell .The catchment area was defined and measurements were also done .The session was planned for NSS students.

German Language Training Course

PCCoE has started training the program on the German Language for the students. The status of various batches is :

August 15 batch (A1): Out of 14 students 6 students’appeared for the A1 exam at Max muller Bhavan on 24/02/2015 and 5 students qualified the exam with good score.

March 16 batch (A1) : 10 students have registered for German Language training classes( A1 level).The course started on 03/03/2016 .

March 16 batch (A2) : 4 students have registered for German Language training classes( A2 level).The course started on 01/03/2016 .

Japanese Language Training Course at PCCoE

PCCoE has started training a program on The German Language for the students. The status of various batches is :

October 15 batch(N5) : 12 students have registered for Japanese Language training classes (N5 level).The course started on 05/10/2015 .The total duration is 170 hrs. In this batch, 5 students have applied for the certification exam which is scheduled on July 16.

March 16 batch(N5): 10 students have been registered for N5 second batch after TCS awareness drive as well as department wise counselling with students. The batch started from 05/03/2016. The total duration is 170 hrs. These students will appear for the exam scheduled in Dec 2016.
