As per the university authorities, the official announcement for RGUKT Basar admission 2025 will take place today, i.e. May 28. The notification will be about the application for the six-year integrated B.Tech program for the academic year 2025-26 at RGUKT, Basar campus. Admission is decided using merit, depending on the scores students get in Class 10 (SSC). There is no entrance exam for RGUKT Basar admission, and the students are selected for admission only based on their scores in the qualification exam.
Candidates who passed Class 10 in 2025 and are not older than 18 years (or 21 for SC/ST) as of June 1, 2025, are qualified to apply. The application process also welcomes OCI and PIO cardholders. Details of the admission timeline such as application dates, qualifications, seat allocation and fees, will be available on the official portal. The online
application process is expected to begin
sometime on or after May 31, 2025. Registration for the exam costs Rs 500/- (Rs 450/- for SC/ ST candidates) and Rs 1,500/- for everyone living outside the state. All details relating to updates, such as the release of the provisional selection list and counselling notifications, can only be found on the university's official portal.
Important details regarding RGUKT Basar Admission 2025
- Applicants should have finished SSC (10th class) or an equivalent recognised examination by Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, CBSE, or ICSE boards in 2025.
- Admission depends on the candidate's SSC (10th class) or equivalent result, so entrance is only based on merit.
- For government school students, 4% (4 marks out of 100 for each subject) is given as a deprivation score on their SSC marks.
- The Government of Andhra Pradesh has established reservation guidelines for EWS, SC/ ST and other groups and the admissions follow these rules.
- In case students obtain the same marks, those with higher marks in Mathematics are selected first. If the tie still exists, Science marks are checked, then English, Social Studies, First Language, age, and finally a random number from the hall ticket.
