School Holiday 3 September 2025 Update: Most parts of North India and some parts of South India have been experiencing heavy rainfall over the past few days with cloudbursts, thunderstorms, and lightning, recording higher than usual rainfall. Some states have reported experiencing the heaviest rainfall and extreme weather conditions in the past 25 years. Flash floods, waterlogging, and landslides have affected many areas and washed away or blocked roads and houses. Due to such harsh weather conditions, some states have declared School Holiday 3 September 2025. School Holiday 3 September 2025 Update on Himachal Pradesh

  • All schools or educational institutions at Kangra, Sirmaur, Una, Bilaaspur, Solan, Shimla, Lahul and Spiti, Kullu, and Hamirpur have been declared closed for September 2, due to heavy rainfall and orange alert.
  • However, the IMD reports suggest no warnings for September 3, so most likely, schools that have not been affected by floods or waterlogging are expected to remain open.
  • Schools affected by the floods shall remain closed under local orders from the district authorities or school authorities, which shall be informed to the parents.

School Holiday 3 September 2025 Update on Uttarakhand

  • Nainital, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar are under Red Alert for September 2, but the IMD reports show that the state will have stable weather on September 3, with scattered to heavy rainfall in some areas.
  • Schools in some areas that have been affected by floods or waterlogging are expected to remain closed, which will be informed by the school authorities. Official notice for School Holiday 3 September 2025 in Uttarakhand has not been issued yet.

School Holiday 3 September 2025 Update on Haryana

  • In Haryana, three districts, Panchkula, Yamunanagar, and Ambala, have been issued a Red Alert for September 2, but for September 3, most districts are under Orange alert.
  • Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonepat, Panipat, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Kaithal, Ambala, Panchkula, and Yamunanagar are under Orange Alert for September 3. Official school holiday notice has not been issued for any of the districts yet for Septemebr 3.

School Holiday 3 September 2025 Update on Delhi

  • The Yamuna River in Delhi is above the danger level, causing waterlogging in a number of places. "We are continuously asking residents to leave areas at risk of flooding," one official said in reference to the evacuation warnings that authorities have been issuing.
  • Every district magistrate has been instructed to be ready for any emergency, like as flooding. As the city prepares for additional rain, these steps are essential.
  • Water started to seep into homes in Delhi's Trans-Yamuna neighbourhood when the river went over the danger level. Several areas of Delhi, notably Mayur Vihar and surrounding communities in the Trans-Yamuna region, were flooded following an overnight downpour.
  • Despite several warnings, the schools have not been closed, and no such announcement for School Holiday 3 September 2025 has been issued yet.

School Holiday 3 September 2025 Update on Punjab

  • According to Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, "holidays have been declared in all government/aided/recognised and private schools in the state until September 3, 2025, in accordance with the directives of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, keeping in mind the flood situation in Punjab."
  • According to governmental sources, 12 of Punjab's 23 districts have been seriously affected, making this one of the greatest flood disasters in decades.
  • In Punjab alone, more than 2.56 lakh people have been impacted, resulting in multiple deaths, mostly in the Pathankot area. There is a possibility that the state will continue to experience heavy rainfall until September.

School Holiday 3 September 2025 Update on Telangana

  • Thirteen Telangana districts are under an orange alert, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). However, confirmation on the school holiday 3 September 2025 is yet to be declared by the state government.
  • In isolated areas of Bhadradri Kothagudem, Hanumakonda, Jagtial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Karimnagar, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Mulugu, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Rajanna Sircilla, and Warangal districts, a heavy to very heavy rainfall alert has been issued.
