Shiv Nadar University: A Futuristic College

Srikant M Datar, Arthur Lowes Dickinson Professor of Accounting Harvard University highly appreciated Shiv Nadar University Noida. In an interesting, interaction he said, “What is truly amazing about Mr Shiv Nadar's vision here is, how early he has focussed in India's growth story here. On the need to develop important talents, on the needs to develop important thinking skills, on the need to develop much more powerful methods of education, that have existed in India, for me that is at the heart of SNU.”

He also said that the University has several factors for being so, alluring and attracting. He attributes these factors in the following points.

• Great interest on the board based education across a number of fields. The board based education that SNU provides is really amazing. No other university in India would have the kind range of studies that SNU would offer to its student.
• The ability to go into the depth in a particular area. This is the hallmark of USA education, The broad-based curriculum, the ability to engage in the research, to think about problems and ideas have been thought about.
• The globally component fact that there will be an international requirement of our students. They engage students not just what is happening in this country but engage what is happening all over the world. The relationship that India would have with rest of the world. There would be international requirements of our students.
• They focus on leadership and social interest and values that students would be able to participate in a border society.
