<p>When a girl student from St. Stephen was being harassed by an eve-teaser and in return she posted the photo of the culprit in social media highlighting the neglected behavior of the spectators, the incident immediately drew the attention of police to nab the offender.

Jasleen Kaur, a resident of Tilak Nagar posted a photo of youth who harassed her on the road and warn her if she will go to the police. But the brave girl posted his photo on the facebook and told police that Sarabjeet Singh (28) had made lewd remarks after stopping his bike as she was crossing the road near the Tilak Nagar Metro station and had mischievously offered to drop her at her destination. When she clicked his photo on her mobile phone, she said he had posed defiantly and threatened her, saying, "Jo kar sakti hai kar le. Complaint karke dikha, fir dekhiyo kya karta hun main."

According to media report Singh works as a coordinator with a private company. The police also rewarded Kaur for her bravery by giving her a cash award of Rs 5,000.

Jasleen Kaur said to the media" Something disturbs me much more than his obscene remarks-it is the fact that all this was happening at a traffic signal where more than 20 people heard what the culprit was saying to me. Yes, no one objected. No one intervened. No one stood up for me. I decided to post his pic and bike number on facebook and spread it widely"

Meanwhile, Singh's family members maintain that Kaur had walked up to him at the traffic signal claiming to be an Aam Aadmi Party member teaching commuters about traffic rules. "When my son refused to move his bike, the woman clicked his photograph and posted it on Facebook," alleged Singh's mother. The incident has gain proved the power of social media.
