A national seminar on ‘Emerging Trend in Pharmaceutical Education and Research’ was held at Girijananda Choudhury Institute of Pharmaceuti
A national seminar on ‘Emerging Trend in Pharmaceutical Education and Research’ was held at Girijananda Choudhury Institute of Pharmaceutical Science, in collaboration with Assam Science and Technical University (ASTU), in the city. The seminar was inaugurated by Assam Science and Technical University Vice Chancellor Pradyut Kumar Goswami. The seminar was addressed by Dr. Laltand Panigrahi, the Director of Doctob Reddy Lab, Hyderabad. Earlier, Jadavpur University scientist Biswajit Mukherjee delivered a lecture on nano-technology in nano-medicine. IIT Guwahati Prof. Biplab Ghosh gave a presentation on targeted drug-delivery in cancer. Pharmacy students and professionals from all over the country participated in the seminar. Registered pharmacists and pharmacy students participated in the programme.
There was an interactive session between researchers and students.
The students of B.Pharma. Final year, Assam Don Bosco University attended the one day National Seminar and made significant contribution in it. They actively participated in the seminar with their inputs on the topics.
Mr. Dibyajyoti Das and Mr. Himanshu Saikia, students of B. Pharm. Final year of Dept. of Pharmacy participated in poster presentation competition and won First prize for their poster titled “PHYTOCHEMICAL & ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITY OF CAPSICUM CHINENSE. (NAGA CHILLI)”
